I was not able to use WEP to connect our Canon Pixma to our Verizon home internet. What did work was using my laptop that has a wireless connection to the gateway. I removed all of the canon drivers and software from the laptop and ran a restart. Then I used a usb cable between the laptop and printer and performed a new install using the Canon cd. I selected wireless setup and the program gave prompts throughout to complete the printer wireless connection. Works very well.

It looks like you're experiencing an issue connecting your wireless printer to your Verizon router/gateway. Several potential solutions have been suggested by other users, but none of them seem to have worked for you so far.
Here are a few more troubleshooting steps you can try:
- **Check Printer Settings**: Ensure that your printer is set to connect to the correct network. This is often done through the printer's web interface. Check that the SSID (network name) of your router/gateway is entered correctly, and that the security settings (WPA2-PSK, for example) match those configured on your router.
- **Router Settings**: Verify that your router is set to allow connections from wireless printers. In the router's settings, look for any restrictions or blocks on devices based on MAC addresses. Ensure that the printer's MAC address is not blocked. Also, check the router's security settings and ensure they are compatible with your printer.
- **Network Settings**: Ensure that your router's network settings are optimized for wireless printing. This may involve adjusting the channel width, power settings, or other advanced options. These settings can often be found in the "Wireless Settings" or "Advanced Settings" sections of your router's configuration menu.
- **Hardwire Connection**: If all else fails, try connecting your printer to your router/gateway using a hardwired Ethernet connection. This can help rule out any potential issues with wireless communication between the printer and the router.
Remember to refer to your printer's user manual or manufacturer's support resources for specific instructions tailored to your particular model.
If you've tried these steps and are still unable to connect, it may be worth considering contacting Verizon's technical support for further assistance. They may have additional insights or solutions based on their experience with similar issues.

I am curious...are you using a Chat bot to render these answers?
Check Printer Settings, this is for connecting the printer to a wireless radio. If the user could ping the printer, then this is fine.
Router Settings. This is technically called MAC Address Filtering. Or wireless Access Control List. This is indeed a feature of Verizon/Fios Routers, but is disabled by default.
Network Settings. Not sure what is the concrete advice here, adjusting channel width and transmission power likely won't help because the default settings are already very optimal.
Hardwire Connection. Very good advice. For always-standby devices, e.g. a printer, might want to consider for a wired connection to avoid repeated wireless authentications, which may cause delays. But still, you might want to turn off always on devices to save some electricity bills too.
