Gigabit internet and Fios (Actiontec) MoCA Extenders?

I have the G1100 Fios roter and 2 Actiontec WCB6200Q extenders (from Verizon). They use MoCA. Does anyone know if I should be geting the Gbit speeds through those if I'm connected to the extender via Ethernet? I'm currently only getting about 200Mbps up and down and I feel like I should be getting more. Is there some speed limit for these boxes ot MoCa in general?

Thanks for any thoughts.

Moca tops out around that speed.

that is why Verizon uses Ethernet for higher speed internet services.

The above link should answer your questions. I believe it states it is capable of higher speed handling. I know cable using moca get 300-600 with no problem.

call Verizon and have them test it or send someone out to switch you to Ethernet.

Section 10 states up to 1gb speed.

good luck

Many of the ONT's Verizon used only do Moca 1.0  some of the newer models may use 1.1, and last I heard none do 2.0.  Moca 1.0 tops out at 100 mbps.  For the routers the Actiontec rev F and rev I do 1.1.  Only the Quantum router 2.0.

See the MOCA speed chart, currently at http://www.mocalliance.org/MoCA1/index.htm

ps the new router ont in testing for the new IP based TV service supposedly has no Moca.
