Home network protection stuck on "activation in progress"

I've contacted Verizon chat twice now, and haven't found a resolution.  Tried numerous things and still stuck.  Because of this I'm unable to reset my son's school laptop's access and need to be able to get into my parental controls (which were set differently for the summer).  HELP

I also have this same issue, I can't do anything in the home network protection tab.
