I have a Microseven wirelsss IP video camera that requires port forwarding to TCP 80 and to device ports 9660 and 9661.
I have created the appropriate port forwartding rules in the Actiontec FIOS router.
But I'm unable to 'see' the video images from IE that should be made available by the onboard http server on the camera.
I can see a video image when I expose the camera (I have assigned it to the local address 192.168.1.108) to the Internet by placing the IP address in the DMZ in the router.
The tech rep at Micsroseven believes that Verizon limits the number of ports to be forwaded to 1 when the IP address is assigned dynamaically.
He says that if I purchase a static IP I will have unlimited port forwarding.
I am unable to confirm this policy with Verizon tech support.
Does anyone on this forum know the answer to my questiuon: does Verizon limit the number of port forwards for its Internet customers who are assigned a IP address dynamically.

your problem is likely not the number of ports being forwarded. its that verizon blocks port 80 on residential accts. No matter that you open the port on the router, it is blocked at the acct level.
Your camera will need to be used on a differnt port other than 80. OR you will need a business acct with a static IP to get port 80 unblocked
