INternet Speeds much less than advertised

Just had FIOS triple play installed.  Phone and TV working fine.  Internet however is slower than Time Warner!  I ordered 35 up and download but am getting speeds thta range from 5 to 9.  Check several computers and they say the same thing.  I cannpt get Verizon to answer my emails.  Has anyone else had the same problem?  Should I go back to Time Warner?

Also you may need to learn about how actual download speed against actual download speed.

Are you by any chance using a Wireless connection? Try a speed test from an Ethernet connection directly to the router if you are on Wireless, and ensure you disconnect from the Wireless before doing so.
