Hi guys, I've just activated my Fios home internet with the 1 g plan but when I run the speed test on my computer it only shows 90mbps maximum (usually 40-50).
I lived in a rental apartment and my ONT box is inside the entrance closet, which is within 10 meters (2 walls) from my computer. My previous internet provider was xfinity and they wired the coaxial port in the living room so my modem and router could connect in the center of my apartment (about 2 meters and 1 wall from my computer) and they can provide a solid 350mbps download speed (400mbps plan).
I tried using my own router but it shows the download speed was 8mbps..... So I changed to the Fios router which is currently connected to the ONT box with the cat6 cable. I've tried the Netgear powerline adapter to connect one of my computers with the router and it doesn't make much difference and tried to connect the ONT box with the router through the powerline adapter and place the router in the center of my living and does not make any different either.
Does anyone had is kind of situation before or knows any solution for this. Thank you so much for the help!
