I just transferred from optimum to Fios. every is fine except my machine is taking a while (around one minute) to connect to internet when PC start or some times waking up. I am using windows 11. Previous with optimum there was no such issue. My machine is directly connected with cable to the extender which is connected to Fios router with coax cable. Any one have similar issue and how to solve it?

There is a set 55-second delay between the link is up to the moment the port is entered into the forwarding state.
This is supposed to be a timeframe for the extender to identify the link topology. I personally resolved by putting a cheap unmanaged switch between the computer and the extender. For me, the 2 ports at the back are not sufficient regardless.

I second the above comment, putting a switch in between created a “live link” that’s non stop pinging the router… that keeps the connection fresh and bypasses the delay you’re experiencing.
