I've been having internet drops constantly for about a year. I've called Verizon numerous times to have this checked out, but they cannot identify the problem.
My cameras, my TVs, my computer and tablets drop periodically and it's a nuisance. It drops for a few seconds and then comes back online. Before the ONT replacement it dropped for longer periods. Even my door lock fails because it's on my wifi. When it drops, on my lock or cameras, i get the message, "no internet connection". What's the point of having security if something happens at the time the wifi fails.
Vz has changed my ONT and my router. I have 5g and 2.4g and have spread my devices over the two. Then I was told to put them all on 2.4g because 5g wasn't stable. This is where I am now and it still drops.
I found our recently that two of my neighbors are experiencing the same thing. The tech that replaced my ONT said that one of the neighbors and I were on the same box, or what ever it is called, while the 2nd neighbor is on a different one. We are all experiencing this dropping issue so where do we go from here??? Who can help?
