Yesterday, I started having issues with the Crunchyroll app on my FireTV. The thumbnails would load slowly or fail to load, video playback would give an error about not being a premium member or take several minutes to load. SInce my subscription was done via an Amazon, I decided to try via the Prime Video app with the same issue. I rebooted the TV and the router with no luck. The app works fine on my iOS devices and via a web browser on my PC. I decided to try via VPN on the TV and that worked. Did something change with the routing tables?
