Just upgraded to Gigabit FIOS, broadband connection disconnects/reconnects every 30 minutes like clockwork.

Today I upgraded from and old FIOS plan, like really old 50/50 or something, to Gigabit.  I have a new CR1000B router from Verizon.  The speed is fantastic, but I've noticed the connection drops like clockwork every 30 minutes.  I logged into the router and checked the connections list to verify this and yes, the connection labeled Broadband changes from "Connected" to "Disconnected" and then reconnects after about 60 seconds.  And it then happens again, thirty minutes later.  This did not happen before the upgrade (which was today).  So it is definitely a new problem.

I'm not using WiFi on the router; my connection is wired.

As an additional test, I plugged the old router back  in, in place of the CR1000B.  And even with the old router the connection dropped every 30 minutes.  The fact it happens with both routers suggests to me it is an issue upstream from me.

I talked to the tech who did the install.  He rebooted the ONT and said he sees no errors on the ONT or the CR1000B and thinks the issue may be that I'm connecting through other switches/routers in my house, which I administer, before exiting out the CR1000B.  I find that highly unlikely as the switch and Nighthawk router between my PC and the CR1000B are not dropping the connection, the CR1000B is.  In other words, when my connection to the Internet drops, I can still access the CR1000B just fine.  Also, my switch and Nighthawk router have not caused issues before.

I find it odd the connection drops happen exactly on the hour and on the half-hour.  That's too regular to be something random...

Anyone experience anything like this?
