Really stupid question, but I can’t find the answer anywhere. Received new cr1000a router for new Fios upgrade. Did not receive new modem. Does it also serve as new modem or does the old modem stay in place?

Probably resolved now, but the router connects to the ONT, plus your home network. No need for a modem. Did I miss something?
