I currently have quantum gateway(basement) with a MoCa 2.0 adapter in my 2nd floor office plugged into My PC pulling around 300mbps or so upload and download. Does anyone know if connecting a MoCa adapter at the router to use instead of the routers MoCa would increase my speeds to near 1gbps? Thanks guys!

Yes. Just take the coax out of the router and connect it to the 1st adapter. Then also connect the LAN of the router to the 1st adapter. Then the 2nd adapter is the other room should be getting higher speeds.

No because the FiOS Quantum Gateway is also MoCA 2.0. You would have to buy a pair of Bonded MoCA 2.0 adapters. One at the router and one where your current adapter is located. Verizon sells the Fios Network Adapter which is Bonded 2.0 or you could pick up a pair online.
