I have Fios 1 GB service. I tested internet speed on Ookla speed test site. it show me download 268.15 mb and upload 572.53 mb. It does NOT sounds good. These tests has shown me almost the same measures except yesterday morning (Saturday that is) with measurement of 58 mb download and 75 mb upload.
The above measurements is getting from 450 mb upload to 250 mb for almost a month now . Why ?
The same thing happened 4 years ago when I use my wife's a/c and it was the same situation until I complain to a big shot and magically the speed came back to 950 mb .
Why Verizon?

Oversubscription is actively monitored on every PON circuit so this should not be an issue.
Could you use the official VZ speed test? Using other speed tests just add too many variables to the troubleshoot.
Worst case scenario is to have a line tech to check the light and power strength on your circuit to rule out damaged fiber, leaky laser, or water invasions.
