New Build - Service Unavailable even though Builder confirmed it's available

We just moved into a new build a few days ago and for the past month have been on the phone with Verizon reps trying to get Fios service set up.  They continue to say that service isn't available in our area yet.  However, our builder has already told us on several occasions Verizon and Xfinity are the 2 providers we can go with and that Verizon has already laid their fiber down for Fios.  To make matters more frustrating our neighbor has Fios service available and is right next door to us so I don't understand why we can't get connected with Fios.  There is a ticket in the system to have an investigator come out and take a look but they have no clue when that will be.  We really need to get connected as I work from home.

Has anyone had a similar issue or are there any suggestions?
