I have a new construction house. Every other address on this street shows as Fios available, including the houses on either side, the house across the street, and the house behind mine. But because the house is new, it isn’t in the Verizon system. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a Verizon representative to even check the feasibility of getting service.
There’s maybe 30 or 40 feet between my house and my neighbor’s, so it’s hard to believe that getting service would be more difficult than a regular installation, but I have no way of knowing if it’s even being investigated.
Cable company X had the same problem, at first, but I went to their physical store and the agent there looked it up on the map, and was able to confirm the work order on the spot. I really would prefer to use Fios, but all I can get even from talking to sales agents is “we’ll notify you when Fios becomes available in your area.” It’s already available in my area!
What’s the best way to get in touch with someone who’s able to look at the local situation? Is there a special process for “new house in an existing Fios neighborhood?”
