ONT Reset not solving issue

I have had several issues with lost internet and video. Called the number on the TV screen and was told by the automated service system that my ONT must be restarted. I tellit to do so, and it does. The restart lets the tv work for a few minutes, then it fails again. This started last week and I suspect the problem is actually outside my ONT. Is there a way to tell?

If your TV signal is repeatedly failing a few minutes after the ONT is reset, I suspect you have a bad ONT.
You need to call VZ.
