PLEASE HELP: Will lose sale of house because Verizon won't reinstall DSL for buyers

Verizon DSL has been in our neighborhood and this house for over 13 years.

We have disabled daughter with CP and have to move because of her not being able to get helpers.

We have contract on house and we are in the process of moving closer to city and had to cancel the service.

New buyers expected DSL and there is no other options available.

Verizon says they are not allowing "new" DSL accounts regardless if there has been service for 13 years at this address.

Buyers will cancel the contract if they cannot get DSL.  It is hard to even sell a house in this economy.

If we lose these buyers, we inturn will lose a major population of buyers because many won't even look at a house that doesn't have high speed internet access.

I've called numerous times over the past week and each support person said they will contact engineering to see if they can get them to allow it. 

No one called me back and we are scheduled to close in 2 weeks.

I can't believe Verizon is willing to play with peoples lives like this.  This will have a major financial impact on our family who is already struggling to move to a place to get services for our daughter.

They never notified anyone that we would not be able to get the same service we have had for 13 years to the new buyers, nothing.  This is wrong on so many levels and I have no idea what to do.  Obviously they can technically do it because it was here for 13 years and every single one of our neighbors has it as well.

It is impossible to get to anyone in Verizon other than the people who have no real power to make a decision or help.

We have so much riding on this sale, there HAS to be a way, please help!

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
