Ports going up and down

Over the last couple of days I have noticed that my incoming ports keep going up and down.  Specifically port 143 and 110.  I run an email server for the family and have had no problems up until now.  It is obviously not an attempt to permanently block these ports so is it a service interruption?  Thanks.

#1 In the router go to Advanced -> IP Address Distribution.

#2 What is the DHCP Range of the router?

#3 What IP Address did you try to forward to?

#4 What is the exact brand, model, revision of this router?

For example: ActionTec, MI-424-WR, D.
