Pricing and Door-to-Door Sales Tactics from Verizon Home Internet

I want to share my experience with Verizon Home Internet and see if others have had similar issues. About a year ago, a representative from Verizon came to my door offering an internet package with a speed of 1GB for what seemed like a reasonable price. I decided to go with it.

However, after some time, I decided to downgrade my speed to 500MB. I was checking my bill and i was surprised 500MB is priced at $79.99 and the discount i was promised (Auto pay+ verizon Forward discount) are applied which brings my bill to $60. And same packege for new customers is priced at $59.99 and  autopay discount bring it down to even $49.99.

This situation feels unfair and deceptive. I signed up for the service based on the information provided by their door-to-door representative, and now I’m stuck paying more than new customers for less service.

I’ve reached out to customer support, but they haven't been helpful in resolving this issue. If this isn’t addressed soon, I’m seriously considering leaving verizon for a competitor who values customer loyalty.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? What steps did you take to resolve it?
