Quantum router FIOS-G1100 no connection to internet

Rebooted both the new G1100 Quantum router sever times plue rebooted computer. router blink white for sever minutes then turns RED  iNO nternet connection. Ideas? or is this a bad router. Connect the old router back no problems connects to the internet.

The DHCP lease on the old router hasn't been released. You need to release it so the new one can grab a new lease. Some people run into this issue.

You can hook the old router back up, go into the settings and do it (you can find directions here http://www.dslreports.com/faq/15898 or you can simply leave the router disconnected for 2 hours which should do it. After 2 hours, plug the new one back in and you should be good to go.

You can also call Verizon and have them release it for you.
