Regular Internet Interruptions

Since the beginning of August, I have documented at least 25 Internet outages.  I have had more than that, but those are the ones I have written down.  I have times and notes about what lights I see on the modem.

Most all of them last only a couple of minutes, but the DSL light is either off or flashing throughout the interruption.

In the middle of August, I received a replacement modem, which the Verizon rep assured me would resolve the problem.

It did not.

I also removed the line spltter from the wall jack to see if that would help, but the interruptions continued.

I have been a Verizon customer since the New England Telephone days, but am getting frustrated with this one.

What steps can I take to resolve this recurrent issue?

Do you happen to have a landline? What modem do you currently use?
