Samsung Allshare

I have changed the router "Actiontec MI424WR Rev.I", then I cannot use samsung Allshare between PC and TV. Before changing this router, there was no problem. I watch movie in the PC through TV by using Allshare feature.

So I suspect this communication problem is caused by router setting or restriction.

Could you help to solve this issue?

Wireless?  If so the problem is probably IGMP proxy being on.  For the rev I the page to change this is (or was) hidden.   But can be reached after you logon to your router by

http://192.168.1.1/index.cgi?active_page=6059

as I have posted before in other threads

ps:  I have Allshare running both at my NY (with a rev I) and Florida (with a ref F).

Yes. It is wifi.

I agree it could be router setting issue, but I don't know how I change it.

Could you let me know it? I tried your other threads but couldn't it.

Hello dias9674,

The Samsung Allshare application requires WiFi: 802.11g or 802.11n.

Does your new router support either of these two WiFi modes?

What is your WiFi mode on your router?

If you can't access your router, what type of router do you have?

(Manufacturer name/ mode number)

Hello dis9674,

Type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

Do you get the Verizon router log in page?

If you don't, you need to find out your default gateway address by typing

ipconfig/all

in the command prompt (cmd.exe).

Then look for the address in "Default Gateway" entry.

Changed just level of security to lower one.

Your routee should be set to typical security.  If you lowered it to minimal security that is a bad thing.

Most likely problem is still IGMP proxy.
