Setting Up my Own G1100

I am a Verizon FIOS Gig customer (internet only), and have been for several years now. Originally they set me up with the G1100 (modem/router). I then set up a Deco M5 Mesh wifi with 3 nodes, mainly to make sure all my outdoor Ring Stick Up Cams would receive good wifi connection.
The Deco M5 gives me up to 5,500 sq. ft. whole home coverage and 100+ devices, more than enough to cover my entire property. I set up the Deco M5 back in December 2020, and NEVER had any wifi issues in the 3 years with my setup.
Now to last year, November 2023, I did a chat with Verizon about an issue totally unrelated to my internet. During this conversation, they offered to send me an upgraded modem/router (model CR1000A) with no monthly rental fee and a slight reduction in my monthly internet bill. Of course I couldn't refuse.
Very end of November 2023, I decided to switch the routers (the G1100 to the new CR1000A) cause I needed to send the G1100 back before they charged me full boat for it.
Within a few days of making this switch (and already having sent back the G1100), the problems began, ALL with my outdoor Ring Stick Up Cams. Video playback became very grainy on 3 of them; no video recorded even though they did record; or many videos recorded spotty/black. Two of these cameras frequently showed "poor connection" during the actual playback of these videos. This issue has progressively gotten worse, especially with one of the cameras (last few weeks), where the camera continually goes offline, and I have to manually reconnect it to wifi.
How on earth can these cameras have a "poor connection" when they are all anywhere between 10 and 25 feet from any of the Deco modes? hmmmm ... gotta be the router cause that's the only thing that changed.
I've spent countless hours researching these issues the last few weeks, and learned from many other users that they were having problems also with the CR1000A. And this router is supposed to be an upgrade? The ONLY change was the new router (the CR1000A), so I ordered a new G1100 off of eBay, which I already have, but have not switched the routers out yet.
I decided yesterday to give Ring a call, thinking perhaps this one camera might be defective. NOPE, it's not, and what the tech discovered were spikes in the RSSI, which caused the one camera to continually go offline (since mid December to now), and also the horrible video recording of a couple other cameras. His conclusion? ... the router (the CR1000A).
So to today, I want to swap out these routers (get rid of the CR1000A and set up the G1100).
Other than resetting the new G1100, are there any other settings I need to do on the G1100? Is it simply a matter of powering down the CR1000A and the Decos, plugging cables back in and then restarting the new G1100 and Deco's? A simple plug 'n play?
I don't want any fancy or complicated configurations ... I just want the reliable high speed wifi to all my devices that I had last year before setting up the CR1000A, especially my 8 Stick Up Cams mounted outside my home.
Do I need to contact Verizon at all letting them know about my router swap?
Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to read this and helping me out.
