My verizon wireless router is on the first floor of my home and the ONT is in basement. I have my PS4 set up in the basement and I'd like to connect to the internet via ethernet cable. Is there a way bridge or splitter that I can use that will let me run ethernet to my PS4 and coax to my router on the first floor? Thanks.

No.
ONT will only supply one IP address.
So your router (if you don't have fios STB you can use your own) has to be the device that connects to Internet.
You can get a MOCA adapter that will provide a lan interface off of your router via coax.
Connect that up in the basement.

Got it. Excuse my ignorance, but can I plug the ethernet cable into the STB and access the internet that way in on my PS4?

No. Stb does not provide IP access.
