VERIZON refuses to transfer service due to Covid-19

Just sold my home. We will need to move out at the start of June. We are moving into a new construction home in a community and will need to transfer our service. Verizon support said they will not do any installs until further notice. So I called Xfinity - they mentioned something about needing to check drops in our street or something. I would like to stay with FiOS, but my wife works from home and we absolutely NEED internet.

We are all pretty much customers here like you.

It would not surprise me to hear that all major suppliers are suspending home visits.

For new construction, they would need to send someone out to connect up the house.
