Hi, I'm having the same problem.I just switched to verizon in Sept. I have had 4 visits waiting again today. My wait time is 8am to 8pm terrible inconvenience and customer service. I don't think one person talks to the last person. I think the main problem is the line outside that the wires are probably 60 years old running through lead pipes. Waiting for a truck to check lines. Was told twice it's crossed wires. Each time they come, they fix other things but no satisfaction yet. I don't think they want to change the wires. If they don't fix today. I'm going cable.

So far, so good on my new line (including a new number solely for DSL). After nine days, it only dropped out for 1-2 minutes early morning on Wed.
If this is the still the case next weekend, I will feel that this has (finally) been fixed.

I had a similar problem in 2010 which was with software operators, got it back in July this year.

I wish my problem was gone. I have had this same problem for the last year or so. Multiple calls to Verizon. I'm not a networking novice. I tried telling them that the problem was not my modem or router, and the problem was probably a bad port in their office. After a tech came out and insuisted it was my router that was bad, he declared it fixed and left. Problem started again 5 min after he left. Someone at Verizon was monitoring the line and determined that the problem was a bad port which was replaced in their central office and the problem was gone for months. Now it's back...same symptoms.. I really don't want to go throgh all that again. Cable may be looming in my future.
