Woke up this morning and my verizon router of less than a year just stopped working. I could tell as it wasn't showing up on the list of wifi devices in my phone and I could plug the Wan cable into my tv and i"d get service.
The agents on chat took an hour to confirm the router wasn't working and then another half for to tell me there were none available in the Philadelphia area as a replacement. 2 days to get a replacement thru the mail. Very firm on this and would not help find any alternative solutions.
I called in...and after going thru all the prompts that wanted me to chat with an agent again, I got a live one on the phone. He was able to figure out a solution (sent a tech out today)
Lesson learned... don't waste your time with chat
