I had fios tv for about a yesr and a half when I got internet added. My internet is working via the same router as my tv. However, I got a new router in the mail and directions for self installation. Was this a mistake? Should I use the new router? Should I use both?
You don't say what hardware revision the routers are.
Use the one that is the later hardware revision (rev. F, rev. I, etc).
You can find the hardware revision level on the service tag.
