Watch out for Double Usage resulting in overage.

THis is happened to me twice already, thought I would give a warning to the rest of you.

I use a Verizon 4G home router as a backup internet device.

Last month I was up to 11GB used showing on my router, the verizon web page showed the same, a little over 11GB used. I had checked because I used it that night, to around 2am for work and I was uploading lots of files.

I turned off my computer and went to bed.

The next morning I was awoken to a notice saying I went over my 20GB limit... strange as I just checked it.

I logged into my router and it showed I had still only used 11GB.

So I checked online and it showed that from 9am to 9:15am there was 11GB used. Which was impossible as my computer was OFF and its the only one with the password to connect. I confirmed this by checking the router and from 2am to 10am not a single user was connected to it.

In the end I called the help desk, I sent them all the screen shots that proved I didnt use 11GB of data in 15 minutes but they told me {word filter avoidance}  and I was charged for using 22GB that month.

Too bad Im stuck with these scam artists for another 19 months.

Mike.
