Westell 9100 dropping packets

My connectivity and speed are fine, but I have noticed my Westell will occasionally drop packets when I am doing a traceroute - any ideas?
Random sampling:
traceroute to 208.67.220.220 (208.67.220.220), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets
1 myrouter (192.168.1.1) 1.740 ms * 4.086 ms
2 L100.LSANCA-VFTTP-75.verizon-gni.net (72.67.93.1) 9.767 ms 8.565 ms 7.129 ms
3 G3-2-1075.LSANCA-LCR-10.verizon-gni.net (130.81.105.10) 7.573 ms 8.126 ms 8.326 ms
and so on...
seems pretty common.

Today it seemed to be pretty bad, so I went hunting for updated firmware that might possibly address it. But, on the Verizon firmware page for the 9100, I only see 1.02.04 (which is the version currently installed on my router.)
Thanks for any help / ideas...
