Does anyone know what my ont is connected to?

I recently went internet only and want to go from MoCa to ethernet to use my own router. What do I do with this thing connected to the ont and my power outlet? imageSorry for the upside down pic

That is a grounding terminal to ground your ONT. That is something that should stay in place.

Thank you. Should I keep the coaxial attached even after I switch to ethernet?

You can take the coax off it you want. Just keep green wire in a place.

Once the picture comes up I'll be able to tell you. The pictures are reviewed before everyone can see them. The ONT typically connects to a power adapter or bbu/psu to power it up.

All you will need to do is call Verizon and ask them to change you from MoCA to ethernet. Then you can run ethernet to your personal router.
