I am moving to an area without FiOS service today, so I will be stopping service when that is allowed on Monday. I bought the router and have only had internet service. There is other equipment here, such as a modem, which is hardwired in. What do I do with this stuff to avoid extra charges?

That other equipment which is the ont and power supply stay with the address. If you bought your own router then you can take that.

Ok, so there is no reason to expect a penalty of any kind if I just leave everything there? I have no use for the router.

Correct. I'd take the router just in case because I've seen posts on here about verizon sending bills for unreturned equipment.

If you only had internet, and purchased your router, then there is no equipment to return.
If you have a g1100 router, might consider selling it online.
