I have fios internet only. I have the CR1000A Wi-Fi router. We get poor Wi-Fi upstairs and I am considering an extender. My question is can I connect the co-ax cable from the wall to the router and then in a room upstairs connect the co-ax to the extender to get service? Or would I have to get an Ethernet cable up there somehow? I’m considering the Fios E 3200 extender , but I don’t want to order it if it’s not going to work through coax. Any advice would be appreciated!!

That should work perfectly fine as long as you have a Coaxial path between the router and the extender. I would recommend making sure the Coaxial connections do not connect back to the local cable company, a TV antenna, or a Satellite dish.
