WiFi going in and out and having low speeds away from router.

WiFi all night going in and out...When are you going to get up to speed on WiFi, we have a small house and can not get WiFi one room away from the router.  I take that back...we will get it fine for  a while then we go through months where is sucks. Usually it sucks when you are trying to get people to upgrade to high speed which has nothing to do with WiFi.  Come on Verizon, work on making your WiFi better instead of 'faster speed' that you are every 6 months trying to get 10.00 more per month out of people.  I think we would enjoy better Wifi since now and days that is what people is using the most.

I had the same problem in my ranch house.  Log into the router and change the channel setting.  It may be on automatic.  I would try 9 or 11.  Eventually you will find a channel that works.

Welcome to the forums.  You're talking to other customers here.  If you want to get a message to Verizon you need to call, chat or snail-mail them.

WiFi is subject to all sorts of issues outside of Verizon's control.  For example, your neighbor's 40 year old microwave oven can mess up your WiFi, plaster walls with metal lath can stop it from propagating beyond one room or the whiz kid next door with a powerful router can block signals.  No ISP, Verizon included, guarantees WiFi speeds or range.

If you do some searching on these forums you'll find plenty of discussions on how to improve WiFi performance.  Here's a thread that has been saved for all to see:

You can also find plenty of WiFi range improvement suggestions on other forums.  Google is your friend.

If you still have questions, post back with the specific model of router you have and you'll get some help from other users.

Good Luck.
