Hello everyone,
To start my story off my wifi started to fluctuate to the point where I just had to have the problem fixed (the wifi would be fine for 5 seconds and the next 5 seconds it would drop down to horribly low level) so I call support and they tell me I have an old router (4th gen) so I need to upgrade so I do (I have the Fios cr1000a) and I’m still experiencing problems so I call again and they get a technician out to my house to replace the terminal/modem outside my house and STILL I’m experiencing issues with the wifi on all devices so I figured to ask here for any solutions.
also any speed tests that I and technicians (phone and the one that came to my house) showed tests that were on the level I paid for but yet the wifi is fluctuating like crazy so it’s definitely a false positive.
Update: I have now some reasonable evidence that its an upload speed issue, what could I do from here?
Update 2: I tried connecting an Ethernet cable to the ONT wall jack to my computer to see if that would resolve the issue (as it seems someone else had this issue and resolved it that way) and I’m still having issues with upload speeds (btw not just on my computer but on all of my devices, the computer is what I wanted to test it on)
