Hi there, We have FIOS internet service but we did not use verizon router. Instead using our own router Orbi . Earlier we used Mesh and it was working fine for few days and then started having internet issues. Then we changed to Orbi and its been the same. On and off we keep having wireless issues.
So basically, we are having internet issues where it suddenly goes offline anytime and comes back up few times when we restart or we have to just wait and give it sometime.
Are we missing anything here? Do we need to check or setup anything else? We called Verizon and they say everything looks good from their end upon checking. We do not even know if its worth calling technician onsite if they dont see any issues on their end. Please looking for solution/suggestions.
No, don't call a technician. It will incur a $149 fee, and adding burdens to your local wireline crew.
So you are removing the Verizon router completely out of the setup? If so, I don't think it is due to Verizon router interference. You only said wireless is troublesome, how about wired connections?
