"Elevation Required"

I got a popup from 'In HomeAgent' on my PC with the following message: "Bulletin. There are updates available for your system."

I click the download button which takes me to a Web page @ Verizon Support where the followiing message is displayed:

"The update requires elevation. Click Next to continue."

What exactly is meant by "elevation"?   Sounds like I would be approving some type of upgrade.

Windows xp as a limited user was a specific.  Windows 7 (or Vista) as admin still requires you to respond to a request to run as administrator.

Are you running a Windows Vista or a Windows 7 machine, or perhaps a Windows XP machine with a Limited user?

Yes I know, but the message I got wasn't a request to "run as administrator" it was a cryptic "The update requires elevation. Click Next to continue.".  I totally missed it was really requesting administrative privileges.  Now that you and others called the real meaning of the message to my attention, I will do the update.

Thanks to all who replied.
