verizon screening room/verizon surround text news story errors

When I log onto the My Verizon personalized page that is part of FIOS Internet and then click on "The Screening Room" I get a page titled "Verizon Surround". There is a section called "Read It" with various text news articles. Whenever I click on one to try to read the story I get a blank white square partly covered with an advertisement (usually for Adobe). I have never been able to access any of the articles. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it an issue with Vista or IE 8? Thanks.
