1.6.2 update

1.6.2 has been released to the following area's Harrisburg PA and Buffalo, NY which are VHO 14 and VHO 15 More updates to follow as soon as they come out

Audio issue that occured in 1.6.1 should be fixed/resolved

Intermittent "Currently Unavailable" should now be resolved

still updating with info that I can divulge please standby

Unable to locate Hub MRDVR issue should be resolved

Logo issue resolved

also This is the start of the release for 1.6.2 I'm going to see how this goes for these 2 areas before I can get an ETA but I will keep everyone up to date
The following VHO's that 1.6.2 has been released in are
VHO14 which is PA, 15 which is Buffalo, NY, and today release for 7, and 8. VHO 5 VHO6/6a now complete

BTW, does anybody know when the "unofficial" (hint, hint..) release date for VO2 and 1.6.2 is?Smiley Wink

I'm just curious how long I have to suffer from the 7/8 sec. recording and "Currently Unavailable" on my 1.6.0-software..

I kind of assumed I had 1.6.1, but I just checked and I'm 1.6.0.  Does that mean when 1.6.2 comes out that I'll just get that?  I'm in Farmingdale (Long Island), NY.  I read above that it's tentatively scheduled for 3/24, right?  I have the 7/8 second DVR problem and the "currently unavailable" problem on occasion, so I'm really hoping the next update fixes it.

1.6.1 is being skipped. It was distributed in Oregon and Washington a few months ago and had so many problems that Verizon stopped distributing it and decided to develop and deliver 1.6.2. Everything I have read about 1.6.2 indicates that it is a good release, fixing a number of problems.

I can't comment on the schedule, I have no idea about the rollout plan, other than I bet where I am will be last or next to last since we were the first to get FiOS TV.

Just an f.y.i.  My FIOS was installed about 2 months ago.  Settings reveal that I have 1.6.1  I live in Washington.  I have no problem with it.

Just received the 1.6.2 update in Jersey City area in NJ.  Major improvement in SD PQ on my sony kdl40xbr2 with 6216 on HDMI, but not as good as comcast, even when the override is set to 480p.  But its decent, my daughter can finally watch Dora on Nick Jr. OD without straining her eyes

Also what happened to the 3 channel mini guide. Now its only channel.

But I bet Verizon changed it because people complained that the 3 channels were covering up too much of the picture. I too liked having three channels visible, but I think most who objected to it said that having the channel above and the channel below was useless because they usually weren't looking for content on either of those channels.

ok I have installed complete. The SD Picture still with the 1.6.0 in NYC is slightly improved from last time on the HD Set. Still waiting for the upgrade on 3/24 in Staten Island. I have all channels set to 1080 with the SD Override off. Id rather not watch the stretch and settings to 480 I or 480 P make things worse. I have the 7100 HD boxes, last time I had either the 6200 or 6416, whichever one is not the DVR.  MSG, MSG Plus, ESPN News, URGE Radio, Weather Channel, Broadcast Stations , Weather Scan Local have much improved since I last had FIOS in the Summer 2008. URGE Audio is still low. See what happens and how things look on 3/24 when staten island gets the upgrade. Live Knicks on MSG will be the first test for me tonight in Detroit. It was kind of nice seeing MSG on ESPN HD for the Big East, hopefully well see the Rangers and Knicks there soon in HD.

With the SD override turned to off.. wouldn't the SD channel default to 480i?

How could it default to 480i if you have it off? You have to specify 480i if that's what you want, if you put it on off, it will be whatever you set your HD's at 720p or 1080i

So will turning it off automatically upscale native SD signals to 1080i of the video mode is set to that?

I am having all of the issues listed in this thread WRT hub not found, freezing replays, using FF restarts from beginnning of recording.  My HD DVR is at 1.6.0 and the HD STB is also at 1.6.0.  When will this update be deployed to the Westborough, MA. area.  Thanks

P.S.  These problems just starting occurring in the last two weeks.  Before that everything worked fine.
