Hey all, looking to get live TV in every room in my house via Plex Live and a HD Home Run Prime. Will this hardware work with the Fios TV Custom TV Package I have? With how MoCA works I wasn't sure if CableCards are still applicable. I'm also not sure where I get a CableCard from, it doesn't appear to come with the HD Home Run, do I order one from Vz?

Cable cards do work with FIOS TV service.
MOCA is only for Internet access.
TV signals use QAM.
Keep in mind that VOD is not compatible with cABLE cARDS.

@Wronglebowski:
I have a similar set up to the one you are describing. The answer isn't as clear as you would like. First, for most channels, it will work (though the process of gettig started with Verizon and getting my cable card initialized was arduous at best.) BUT, once I got it working, the performance is OK, and in many cases, better than OK, rivals the set top boxes for most channels, and has the added benefit of allowing you to watch your television anywhere.
Then there is Fox and all its affiliates. They encrypt their signal, and the HomeRun isn't equipped to deal with it.
To directly answer your question: call a Verizon sales outlet, they can tell you how to get a card in your area. It still costs you a few bucks per month, but I think it is worth it. It is cheaper than a settop box and has different features, and an excellent user interface (no more thumbing through menus on your stb.)
