Channel guide needs to be more accurate

Whoever does the channel guide needs to be put on notice that his job performance must improve. Too many times, changes aren't shown. Most recently. the NASCAR race is at 11 on TNT. That's been known for hours. However, the guide still has TNT showing a movie.

To force an update to the guide, scroll to the last available day.
I did that and NASCAR shows as running this am.
They do have to wait until the guide content providers update their info.

You should not have to do that manually. Verizon pays someone to do the guide, they need to keep current.

Issue is that they don't have a way to sync all of the boxes quickly. Think of how much data it would be to synce millions of boxes in a short period of time. Syncs happen periodically for future days.
For current days, you have to do the sync trick.

Actually they switched from a small company that everyone was criticizing called FYI, to the leader in such services Tribune Media Services only a year or so ago. However changes are rarely made if they were "known for hours" only if know for days.
