DVR chaptering thumbnails not available

I just received IMG 1.9 this Wednesday and I love it.

Only issue I have is that when I press the up arrow during playback of a recorded program I get the chaptering screen but no thumbnail pictures are available.

I tried resetting the STB and disabling/enabling the feature and still no thumbnail pictures on any of my recorded programs.

Any suggestions.

STB is a QIP-7200 P2

I'm seeing the same thing.  I received the upgrade several weeks ago as part of the slow roll for DAC 1/VHO3.  Are you in Southern California or Texas?  I'm trying to narrow this down to if it's a problem for DAC 1 as I haven't heard of this problem for other deployed markets.

Also in VHO 3 with 1.9 and no thumbnails... CallerID also doesn't display on screen, even after waiting a few days for it to activate.

Ditto for us - I'm in So Cal & thought the chaptering would be great, but it shows up only on 20% of the shows.

I was hoping a Verizon representative would of offered some sort of explanation or fix by now.
Disappointed.

Verizon support, I've also opened a ticket on this and have not received any response. What's up with this issue? Is this limited jus to CA? If so, what is the plan to resolve this?

Hi everyone

This is a peer to peer support forum. And while occasionally some VZ employees drop by, this is not the place to look for responses to your tickets or issues. You need to contact Verizon directly.

I've noticed that shows that were recorded before the img 1.9 update do not have thumbnails, but the shows recorded after the 1.9 upgrade do.

Is that possible for you.

Texas region here.

Central Jersey here...

I too have noticed problems with the thumbnails. In my case though there seems to me no particular pattern as to what recordings they do or do not show up for. I can say for certain that it does not depend on whether a recording was made before I was upgraded to 1.9, as I have recordings from before I got 1.9 that show thumbnails. I've also have instances where maybe a couple thumbnails for a recording show with the others being "not available".  One other thing I think I may be seeing but need to explore further is that thumbnails may show or not show up for a particular recording from one time to another (of invoking chaptering). All very strange.

Can’t fix stupid. Management decided we don’t need chaptering and this feature is no longer available, says technical support.

I just talked to Verizon support on Messenger. I was told that as a part of the recent revamp of the dvr system THIS FEATURE IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE! I told them that was the dumbest thing I ever heard. Everybody needs to complain loudly. It’s not your system or part of a local, state thin, I’m in Massachusetts.
