Fios TV blurry even on 4K

justacustomer1

Hello y'all, I am a new customer coming from xfinity and I need help. My Fios tv is blurry, even on 4k. It's not BAD, but it;s definitely worse than xfinity and I mainly watch sports and it can get pretty bad when watching. I already had a tech come out, he replaced the ONT and main box and it is still bad. I was really hoping verizon was better than xfinity but it has been such a nightmare so far.

The internet is not as good and the tv's look significantly worse. I have checked all the wires, replaced the splitters, changed the ONT's, checked the box setting making sure it's set correctly for the proper format, we have all the newest boxes and other tech. The wires are brand new from Fios. I checked the HDMI cables, but it is happening on all three. I would really appreciate any advise, the tech couldn't really help, so if I can't get this fixed i'm gonna have to switch back to xfinity.

Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it! Sadly i've tried all this and it just doesn't work. This is happening on all my tvs. It feels like the resolution and frame rate are like 720p or 480 instead of 1080p/1080i or 2060p. It just looks so terrible and blurry. I get it on the wireless box, but on all three is terrible. I had xfininty and it looked 10x better then this,

What does the TV tell you about the resolution of the signal coming in? Most TVs have a display or info button that tells you what the input resolution is.

Look here for video format settings first, set to 2160p and see if that is any better. If not set it to 1080i and see if it improves. Sometimes the upscaler in the TV is better than the one in the box:

Main Menu > Settings > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>Video Format

Also look here and make sure HDR is DISABLED unless you are watching an HDR encoded show:

Main Menu > Settings > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings > HDR Setting
