Could have swore I posted this earlier but its not there. Anyways there is a flashing green light on my main FIOS One box. Started a day ago when they were rerunning a fios line in my back yard. Any idea what this means?

I had the same thing for 3 days. A user on another forum provided a solution that works. Unplug your router and then unplug the box for at least 30 seconds. When the router is back online, plug your fios one box back in. Apparently the green flash means there is a software update that can't go through. After you reset, you should be all set.

I had the same problem worked with fios the Green should not flash. Support rebooted my box remotely and reprogrammed it as if it was a new install. I only had to resync my remotes. All is good

This suggestion also worked for the Fios Mini

I tried this solution. Blight continues blinking after reset. Do not see menu option to download a software update. Light has been blinking for 2 weeks.

Try doing the above again, this time also remove coax from box. After router is done rebooting, power up the box, then reattach the coax. Might work now.

Remove coax and power from Fios box. Reboot router, I assume you are using fios quantum router, reconnect fios box power and cable. Box should update.

Was just on hold with verizon for over an hour before I got someone on the line. Was told this flashing green light is normal and told me i could dim it if it was anoying. I guess this must be a new FIOS feature since i never had before yesterday. Verizon is making the decision to switch to Altice an easy choice.

I have the same issue. It appears the system is trying to install a new update that allows you to see the last few channels viewed when hitting the Back button. I have three FiOS One minis, and the install has happened on all of them with no issues. On the main box, however, no installation has taken place, and the light keeps flashing green. I have tried the solution posted in this forum with no luck.

I was also told it's normal. Can't stop staring at it. Covering it with electrical tape.

THIS IS NOT NORMAL! Any rep that says that is either uninformed or lazy.

I just got off the phone with a Verizon rep, and he took the time to solve my problem. It took a hard reboot of the box from his end to force the update and get my box back to normal. No more flashing green light, and the update has been installed. The rep's name was Phoenix. Thank you sir!

What did the Verizon rep actually tell you how to reboot the box. Green light has been on for 3 days and driving me crazy.

Try this: menu>customer support>internet >reset your router .
If that doesnt work, try: menu> customer support> Top support tools>reboot set top box. If even that doesnt work, unplug the mini from the wall. Unplug the coax or wifi cable to it if wired. Powercycle the router by unplugging it for at least 3 minutes, then plugging it in. After the router is fully up, plug the minis power in, then the wire going to it. If still no joy contact support on @VerizonSupport via Twitter is always the fastest way to get support followed by the Fios Facebook page, Chat, followed by dslreports.com and youtube and the very last should be the 800 number. Tell them they need to push the latest update to your box manually.

Tried everything above, no help, still flashing green. So before calling Verizon and possibly waiting on hold for an hour, I hit menu on remote and went to customer support, scroll to top support tools over to reboot fios TV one and in about one minute issue of blinking green light fixed.

Have the same issue. Tried everything and spoke with a fios rep. Said there is nothing he can do from his end. Said it was a connection issue with the router and that there are no updates.

Go into menu, customer support, my connected devices and look at the map. Do both your boxes show a good connection? If so, try powering down the box. Remove coax or ethernet , power off router, wait 2 minutes. Power router back on, wait for it to reconnect to web, power box back on, reconnect coax or ethernet. Hopefully flashing green light will go away.

Ok, so for some reason your box is not accepting the update that is being pushed. Hopefully you are using the Fios Quantum Gateway as primary router because it has to be to get updates. My only suggestion now is to call Fios support and ask them to push the update to your box. Dont settle for a "we cant do that" excuse , they can as others here have reoprted.
