I specify HD recording for Fox 508 but it tries to record 4K version on 1498, which I don't receive. So I get nothing. Using TiVo with cable card that works fine in all other ways. It appears the wrong meta-information is being broadcast on FiOs.

Fox and FX-1 are carried in 4K UHD sporadically on ch 1498 and 1499 for sporting events. Maybe your TiVo is seeing that and switching to it automatically. I know there were issues with the guide not showing events properly, and it's being worked on for those channels.
