Takes 2+ seconds and is not responsive.  Regardless of resets.

Should be also noted that it takes several seconds to go between channels normally in the guide.

Try rebooting the box, unplug power, wait 30 seconds, plug back in. Hopefully that will fix it.

What do you mean guide search? Do you mean seraching for a program using the search (or B) menu option?

What model STB do you have?
