OMG why is the HBO GO authentication system broken AGAIN... after months of successful use, when logging in, you get the error message "you need an HBO subscription" ... of course i have had a subscription for a long time... this error happens every few months.. no one at verizon can help you... you just have to wait until someone at fios notices something is wrong and they fix it... so I am posting this to make some noise!!! PLEASE FIX

Same thing here, Verizon FiOS customer here.
There MUST be a better way to authenticate!

Three years later and it is still broken. What am I paying for? Is it any wonder no one likes cable companies. As I type this I have been on hold 12 minutes.

Here's the response I got from a tech support agent for this issue that seems to be pretty common. At first I thought they cut my free HBO promotion short, but I saw that my channels were still present on my tv. I guess I'll just have to wait until their "maintenance" is done.
Jassil:Thank you for your patience, this will be an issue with our online credential manager. It is currently under maintenance so the service will be unavailable in the meantime. I will create a report so we can have it resolved offline.

I have HBO and get the same message as the other users in this thread (why a private message?) what is necessary to set up a .NET account so that HBO GO works with verizon HBO bundle? I pay a fortune for this....... would like to use it.

I have a .net account as well and cannot log in to HBO Go. This is really a problem. I pay for HBO but cannot acccess the service because the cable company's problem blocks me from using it. I am not getting what I am paying for. I have used HBO Go before, but cannot access it now. I am not happy given that I pay Verizon $170 per month. I should gete better service than this for that kind of money.

2014 - same issue. HBO GO cannot authenticate our subscription from Verizon even though we have one. This worked for months, then suddenly not at all in the past month.
None of my friends with other cable providers have this issue. HBO GO worked for months without this and all of a sudden since Verizon "upgraded" their website earlier this month we have had near constant issues. I have spent hours on the phone with tech support, who even though they've dealt with me on 4 different phone calls claim that they have never heard of this issue...Did anyone figure out how to resolve this?

Can you please try this again now?

That is very convenient. Make it even harder to voice complaint or express frustration.

Instead of closing the thread, maybe your company should fix the problem. The thread is over two years old because the problem is that old. That says something about the Verizon response to it.
