I'll go into my DVR, and sometimes it says 100%. I'll delete many hours of video, and it still says 100%. Does this just take a long time to update? How does this usage work?

The older DVRs (7XXX models) sometimes would not report usage properly.
Try rebooting and see if that resets the data.
