I need to sync fios volume control with vizio sound barusing optical cable from sound bar to vizie

I can not sync the vz p265v4rc remote with the vizio sound bar.

Menu>settings >fios voice remote>reset remote setup.  Say ok, then go back to manual setup, put in make of TV, then the make of soundbar.
