I'm going to be submitting info regarding the NASA TV channel and see if we can get it.  I don't think it will be difficult to get.  Here is what I need from everyone here.

1. First Last name and State your service is in.

2. Phone # to pull up account if # 1 won't work.

3. Address if 1 and 2 don't work.

I have to create some tickets to have the gain interest on that channel.

Please Please Provide the above info in a PRIVATE MESSAGE to me do not post your info here in this thread please.

Techman, thank you for starting this thread.  I've sent you a PM with my info.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: adding NASA-TV would be a big plus.  It's one thing Directv and Dish have that Fios does not have.  I used to have it almost full-time on a channel when I was with Comcast.  I miss it.  It's nice that HDNet broadcasts the shuttle liftoffs and landings, but it's not the same as having the full-time coverage of the space program from NASA-TV.  NASA-TV is also starting to offer some content in HD, but that's probably too much to hope for.  (although, Dish and Directv DON'T offer that.. just sayin')

I want to set an expectation here that I probably should.... I am going to try and get the NASA TV channel. However the person I must speak with regarding this is on vacation so a realistic timeframe for this channel is currently unknown until I speak with the Individual that is currently on vacation. I'm still creating tickets in regards to this so pm me and I will make sure everyone has their voice heard regarding this channel

If FiOS had NASA-TV (or NASA-TV HD) I would have quickly switched from Cox to FiOS when the nice lady came through my neighborhood last week. FiOS didn't; I didn't.

I too would like nasa comedy central hd and much more but you are wasting your time and breath. Verizon is counting its pennies and cutting cost and raising prices. I am in NY and I dont recieve the channels they get in the city due to being in the Cablevision footprint. They will not give you those channels until they are able to launch HD extreme in the NY area which will give them a higher priced package. Now they are just trying to be competitive with tw and cablevision.

Dont look for more content or a more functional IMG.

Fios is the phone company and it is what it is. Its a dinosaur!

What? I didn't think dinosaurs had fiber optics. Every company must be competitive. If they were not trying to improve they would not be rolling out 1.6.2. I went from Premier to Extreme and my package decreased $5 a month. Verizon is not the big bad ma bell. I know the above post was a bit old, but I had to throw in my 2c.

Lack of Nasa-TV is one of the main reasons I haven't switched to Fios yet.  Currently an E* customer, but I am having trouble upgrading to HD with them due to the trees in my yard, so I might be forced to switch to VZ and lose my Nasa TV.

Who do we need to talk to to get this added?  Adding as a national channel would be great, but maybe we would have better luck getting it added as a local interest channel?  How do we find contacts for local programming?

NASA TV would be great! Nothing like spending a few hours watching people float around :). This along with MSG HD would make for a very happy New Year!
